Wrap Up from AGM – New Commitee and Club Direction

A big thank you must go out to those commitee members who have decided to step down from their rolls…
President Adam Rands has stepped aside after a solid year of helping to organise a lot of the races the club has been involved in. We wish him all the best with a new young family and will surely see him out on the track and at events in the future.

Stalwart secretary Angela has stepped aside after four years of terrific effort in organising a lot of the behind the scenes work for the club. We thank her for her tireless work…No doubt her smiling face will still be common place at Pomi every weekend.
We welcome into the President’s role, Paul “PJ” Johanson. A club veteran and passionate MTB’er, PJ will continue to lead the club in a positive direction, after many years as our advocate for trails access and track rehabilitation.
Lincoln Gill has taken on the role of secretary, and with his terrific postivie attitude will serve the club well.
Thank you to all those who attended, it was great to see new faces interested in the direction the club is taking.
Our main focus over the next 12 months will be to promote the social side of MTB riding with more fun rides organised through our media channels.
The 3 and 6 hour races that have been real icons for the club will continue to move ahead, as will the fantastic summer series short course events.
There will be less emphasis on 90 minute enduro events (especially in the winter months) in place of more social gatherings.
Our Facebook Group and Google mailing list will be the clubs main communication channels (along with this website)
And the community shelter soon to be erected at Pomi will give people a great notice board to also find out what is happening.
The commitee is keen to see growth with MTB’ers of all levels and ability and connect them with other riders in our town, so that they can enhance their riding experience.
