Due to heavy rain this morning, we will not be cleaning up Pomi today. The club will organise another day with the assistance of council to do this, so watch this space for details.
This Sunday is Clean Up Australia Day and following on with club tradition, MTB Wagga will be helping out by cleaning up Pominglarna Reserve. Unfortunately some people still seem to think that it is OK to use Pomi as a dumping ground for all sorts of waste and unwanted items, which means there is lots to clean up!
If you have an hour or two to spare and want to help keep the trails and reserve clear from rubbish and waste, meet at the Golf Club gate at 9am.
PJ will co-ordinate proceedings and delegate sections of the reserve to the various groups of helpers. If you get there after 9am and are not sure where to go, phone PJ on 0409 203 720 and he will be happy to put your services to good use.
Please be sure to bring sturdy footwear, gloves, rakes, hats, sunscreen and water. If anybody has trailers or utes to transport the rubbish back to the main gate for council pick up, please bring them along as well.
