Livingstone NP Update

PJ has spoken to National Parks staff inTumut and has been advised that Livingstone NP will be closed for the next couple of weeks whilst roadworks are carried out. The Daisy trail will remain permanently closed (including to MTB bikes) and surveillance cameras are in place to catch people doing the wrong thing. Please be responsible MTB riders and stay off these tracks as per the signage. Failure to do so may impact negatively on MTB user groups in the planned future developments for Livingstone NP.

Steve Cathcart NSW NPWS and Angela Lonergan NSW NPWS advised us again yesterday that with the continuing wet period – Livingstone National Park remains closed to vehicles, motorcycles and bikes.

This is to ensure that the recent roadworks carried out throughout the park get a decent period of dry to bed down and reduce maintenance works.

We will shortly begin work with NSW NPWS on the mapping and layout of the multi use loop trail specified in the Plan of Management.

As PJ has requested above – please do the right thing to preserve the relationship MTB Wagga Inc has with NSW NPWS
